Upcoming PS5 Games You Don't Want to Miss

With the announcement of the PlayStation 5, you’re probably wondering if there are any games that you should play before the PS5 releases. In fact, there are quite a few PlayStation 5 game releases coming out before the PS5 even comes out on store shelves! And since you’re about to read about all of them, you can get started in advance and just wait for the release of your favorite games to actually play them when they come out. Without further ado, here are some of the most anticipated PlayStation 5 games that you need to check out before the PS5 releases!

Red Dead Redemption 2

Rockstar’s next big release is also one of the most highly-anticipated games of the year. Set in the Old West, Red Dead Redemption 2 is a prequel that follows protagonist Arthur Morgan and the Van der Linde gang as they rob, steal, and fight their way across America.

 Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order

The game is set in the Star Wars universe, but has a plot which is unrelated to other games in the franchise. It follows a Padawan who was orphaned when Order 66 was issued and later abandoned by the Jedi Council. The player’s character seeks revenge for his master, who has been killed by an army of stormtroopers. The game will feature single-player only, with a story that takes about 15-20 hours to complete.

Resident Evil 2

One of the most exciting upcoming games for the PlayStation 5 is Resident Evil 2, which has been in development for five years by Capcom. The remake will bring back the classic gameplay from 1998, and also adds new features such as a first-person mode.

The game is set in Raccoon City during the events of Resident Evil 2, and follows rookie police officer Leon Kennedy and college student Claire Redfield as they struggle to survive against zombies and other mutated creatures infected with a deadly virus.

The Witcher 3

In The Witcher 3, you play as protagonist Geralt of Rivia, a monster hunter who has been trained since childhood to slay beasts both supernatural and mundane. Your missions generally consist of either slaying the creature in question or running an errand (such as fetching some kind of rare plant). There are two different types of quests that you can choose from: Main Quests (which unlock after achieving certain goals) and Side Quests (optional objectives that do not have time constraints). Some side quests come with prerequisites such as completing other side quests first or meeting certain people in the world before they will offer their help. While there is no level cap for Geralt, he must still complete main quest lines in order to progress through the game’s story. Side quests are optional but can be fun diversions if you’re looking for something new to do outside the main storyline.

Kingdom Hearts 3

The next Kingdom Hearts game is finally here. The eighth installment in the franchise, Kingdom Hearts 3, is a continuation of the popular Disney-themed RPG series that has seen its fair share of success over the years. Fans will be happy to know that KH3 has plenty of content waiting for them upon its release on January 29th 2019. After years of waiting and speculation, Square Enix is finally ready to present what they’ve been working on.

Metro Exodus

#Metro Exodus is the next chapter in the award-winning, best-selling Metro series. From the makers of the Call of Duty and Assassin’s Creed games comes the definitive post-apocalyptic action experience. Explore the vast Russian wilderness across vast landscapes using your wits, stealth and a whole lot of firepower to do whatever it takes to survive.

Doom Eternal

Released in 2016, the first Doom game got many people talking and was praised for its visceral combat and pitch-perfect pacing. Doom Eternal promises even more of this good stuff with some new weapons, enemies, and a fresh storyline. The game is scheduled for release on November 22, 2019. Spider-Man: In one of the most highly anticipated games coming out this year, you get to be Spider-Man as he battles an army of super villains while saving New York City from disaster.
