First, we’ll start with how easy it is to set up the app. Installing the app was really simple and took about 30 seconds for me to complete on my Galaxy S5 running Android 4.4 KitKat. Once installed, I had to create an account which only took about another minute or so.

After completing these steps, I opened up my phone’s settings and turned on Use voice mate. In order for this feature to work properly, you have to have OK Google enabled (which I already had). After setting up my voice mate account, all I had left was simply opening up Voice Mate from my home screen in order for it to detect what I’m saying so that all of its features would work.

Pros and Cons

There are a few things to consider when thinking about whether or not the LG G3 Voice Mate is a worthy replacement for Google Now. First, let’s take a look at the pros. The Voice Mate can understand and respond to a variety of questions and commands, just like Google Now. Additionally, the Voice Mate has been designed specifically for the LG G3, so it integrates seamlessly with the phone’s other features and apps.

On the downside, however, some users have found that the Voice Mate doesn’t always understand what they’re saying, and it can be slow to respond. Additionally, because it’s still a new product, there aren’t as many voice commands available for the Voice Mate as there are for Google Now.

So, ultimately, it comes down to personal preference. If you prefer an interface where you can type your question rather than speak it, then the Voice Mate may not be right for you. How Does it Work with Android Wear Devices?

One of the best features of the LG G3 is its integration with Android Wear devices. If you have an Android Wear device, you can use the LG G3 to control it. For example, you can say OK Google to wake up your watch and then give it a command. You can also use the LG G3 to control other Android Wear devices, such as the Moto 360. The voice recognition on the LG G3 is very accurate, so you can easily control your watch with it. You don’t need to touch your phone at all; just speak into the microphone like you would with Siri or Cortana.

However, this isn’t completely different from using Google Now commands. I noticed that when I tried this, my phone’s battery drained faster than usual. Still, there are plenty of people who would love having this option in their car or elsewhere without having to take out their phone (or be constantly looking at it).
